Not a big update over the next few months but that doesn’t mean I’m neglecting the site, it means that I’m mapping out what I want to achieve in 2010 and in what direction I want to take.

I’m currently doing a great photo project on cyclingplatypus.com taking and posting at least one photo daily, right now they are leaning towards the creative side. Instead of posting a photo of the week like I did last year I’ll be posting a little less frequently here but I will be posting.

Over the next month or so there will be some changes that you may or may not notice but as always I’m committed to giving my clients, new or old, exceptional service at exceptional prices and regardless of the job size.

Hard to believe that 2009 is coming to an end, it has been a great year for me here and this will be my last update here at Chris Miller Studios. I am not taking the month off though, in fact, I’m quite busy and it is nice. Over on my photoblog I have started Project 365, posting a different photo everyday for the next year, featuring a variety of traditional and creative shots.

I’m also taking some time and reflecting on what I’ve accomplished and what I hope to accomplish next year.

This month marks the end of the second year and the beginning of the third that the studio has been open and in that time I have designed more than a few sites, captured many a special moment and sold more prints than I thought I would have.

That said I still want the studio to be much more so starting this month I am starting to add more content here, many people who come here also head over to my photoblog at cyclingplatypus.com but some don’t and all they see are the monthly updates and the occasional update to the prints for sale or looking at my portfolio page. Starting this month I will be uploading a photo of the week every week and slowly building up a new portfolio that will include portraits, landscape, nature, architectural, and even some creative shots.

I’m excited about the new content that is coming and most of the photos will only be featured here, sure there may be an occasional overlap but I’m not planning on cross posting that often and I’m not planning on putting up any of the creative series that I do on the photoblog here, no plans for the Tiny People Series to cross over but who knows.

If you are a frequent browser here then you have no doubt noticed a few changes, in addition to the new layout I have also updated the contact section, shopping cart and removed a lot of photos.

I’m focusing less on quantity of prints available and more on quality and limited numbers of prints, but if you don’t see it or would like a different size just use the contact form and I’m sure we can work something out.

February – March 2009

February starts with a couple of photo shoots and next month I’ll be adding some tropical prints to the library here. February also marks the beginning of a design change here, I’m currently testing a couple of different layouts and working to revamp the back end of the site and trying to make it an easier experience whether for shopping, contacting, or viewing my portfolio.

In the photography business January is a pretty slow time, especially in the great white northeast, the holidays are over, the snow has lost its luster and it is a time to take a step back and look at where you want to be at the end of the year and start laying the groundwork for it to happen. That’s what I’m doing this month, plotting a course for the year, but I will have some great photos to display at the newly redesigned photoblog and look for a special group of photo towards the end of the month and early February.

The year has flown by and it is hard to believe that I am writing this on November 1st. This will most likely be the last update for the year as I already have some big plans for Chris Miller Studios in 2009.

November – December is normally a fairly busy time for the photography side and I’m not expecting it to be any different this year. If you live in or around Southern New Hampshire check out the on-site photography section and book early.

Back and refreshed from a month off. As the summer winds down I’ve been fairly focused on nature photography and the photos that I’ll be sending out for test printing reflect that and hopefully some of those shots will find their way into the selection here. This month will also find me revising the portfolio and doing some general housekeeping on the site.
